The National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence

Final Report

The Final Report presents the NSCAI’s strategy for winning the artificial intelligence era. The 16 chapters explain the steps the United States must take to responsibly use AI for national security and defense, defend against AI threats, and promote AI innovation. The accompanying Blueprints for Action provide detailed plans for the U.S. Government to implement the recommendations.

Our Duties. 1) To consider the methods and means necessary to advance the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and associated technologies to comprehensively address the national security and defense needs of the United States. 2) Submit to the President and Congress reports on the findings of the Commission and such recommendations that the Commission may have for action by the executive branch and Congress related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and associated technologies, including recommendations to more effectively organize the Federal Government.
